Welcome to my haven, a space where I, Maggie, share sunshine, sass, and a whole lot of strength, support, and sisterhood. Life hasn’t been a fairytale. Picture this: 20 years in the legal world, a seemingly picture-perfect marriage, and then – bam! – divorce hits me like a rogue wave. Blindsided doesn't even begin to describe it.

Women are generally expected to do it all and appear unruffled every step of the way. This is a false narrative that maintains an ideal that none of us can live up to. We grow up, we become educated, we work, we marry, we mother, we cook, we love, we maintain a household.  You get the point.  And all the while, we do it alone, because after all, we are Superwomen.  But the reality is that we should rely on one another.  Other like-minded badass women who struggle to do it all.  And as controversial as this is going to sound- we cannot do it all by ourselves, we are only one person.  So instead, we struggle to ask for help. And when we do, it exposes our inner vulnerabilities. The truth is that owning our shortcomings is just as powerful as celebrating our strengths, and arguably takes even more guts.

Success at anything requires a team. Regardless of whether you are building a career, a family, or the next multi-million-dollar business, no one should go it alone. Be it an introduction, an invitation for an outing, or a shoulder to cry on – support can come in many shapes and forms, and we should never be afraid to be open to and receive it.  And definitely do not be afraid to step into the next chapter of your life, because it can FABULOUS. Change can be good and should be embraced, even if we don’t get it at this very moment.

The mission of this website is to create a community where women can come together, educate themselves, gain knowledge (I’m sure you’ve heard the aphorism: “Knowledge is POWER”), as well as reading others’ stories, an sharing their own stories.  The moist important thing I want you to take away from this is that you are inspired to take action.

Whether you’re a mother, a wife, partner, a business woman – or all of the above – we hope you become inspired to embrace the power of community.     I don’t know if people that haven’t gone through a divorce can understand the emotional toll that it can put any human being through.     That’s where Maggie comes into this picture. When I met her, she was a bit ahead of me in her process, but still vividly feeling the impact of her divorce on her life.
